I am… Jane Booth

I’ve been... Working in the sports sector since 1997 and for the past ten years have headed up all aspects of coaching for The Professional Golfers’ Association.  Responsible for creating and embedding the ‘Right Coach; Right Place; Right Time’ vision for golf coaching across Great Britain and Ireland, my career highlight to date was involvement in the Ryder Cup matches of 2012 and 2014; with a focus on sustainable coaching legacy for the 2014 event at Gleneagles.

My passion for learning has taken me through an MBA and onto a part-time PhD alongside my ‘day job’.  My studies have enabled me to evolve and shape my work as I endeavour to develop my leadership and management capability and competence on a daily basis.  My PhD is looking into the skills, competencies and experiences of individuals who have a proven track record of initiating and leading change within coaching systems in the UK.

Women Ahead… Provides me with an opportunity to ‘make a difference’ and follow my aspirations and passion by helping to create and sustain networks and opportunities that enable all women to chase their dreams.

I Bring…  Motivation, enthusiasm and the ability to turn vision into reality through creativity, curiosity and inspirational leadership.  My thirst for learning and growing research skills will enable me to help Women Ahead further develop cutting-edge insight using an evidence based approach to research.  This will ensure that Women Ahead continue to lead the way in seeking to ‘make a difference’ to individuals, organisations and wider society in terms of gender equality.
